We're seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our Engineering department at MiQ. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to design and develop end-to-end software components and systems from the ground up, with ownership and responsibility for their success.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software components and systems using a variety of latest Web application frameworks, Big Data technologies, and Angular/React UI frameworks.
- Work with agile teams to utilize CI and CD pipelines, speeding up the products' time to market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Leads, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Trading departments.
- Identify and evangelize frameworks and methodologies for building highly available, high-performance systems.
- Ensure design/architecture documents incorporate best practices and introduce new tools and methodologies to simplify or increase efficiency of development.
- 2-4 years of experience developing with an Object-Oriented Language (Java, C++).
- Excellent grasp of at least one language.
- Excellent understanding of algorithm & data structures.
- Good knowledge of the Linux environment.
- Good understanding of UI technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS.
- Good understanding of multi-tier web applications, experience working on all layers of the stack is a plus.
- Good understanding of Big Data technologies and Distributed systems is a plus.
- Good understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.
- Hands-on product development experience using Java or Kotlin and good understanding of Microservices architecture.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
