Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer II to join our team at HARMAN International. As a Senior Test Engineer II, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the highest quality of automotive software.

About the Role

This role involves reviewing software specifications, testing procedures, creating and assisting on test cases. You will also be responsible for manual and automated testing and validation according to requirements and specifications. Additionally, you will provide real-time status for current tasks and report weekly activity.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in test validation review sessions, weekly meetings, and project syncs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 6+ years of experience as a Test Engineer in Automotive
  • Knowledge or experience with software testing (white box/grey box)
  • Linux experience (low-medium level, virtual machine, etc.)
  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, capturing packages, NAT, bridge, P2P)
  • Experience with data analysis, logs, tracing (e.g., Wireshark)
  • Good English communication skills both written and verbal
  • HW setup knowledge, including Telematics/Infotainment systems with basic knowledge of CAN, diagnostics, and telephony
Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant IT specializations is preferred. ISTQB certification and knowledge of automotive testing standards (A-SPICE) are also beneficial. Some experience in programming/scripting languages such as Python, C#, Perl is a plus.
