Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a Track Alignment Specialist to assist in preparing preliminary designs for track alignment projects.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Develop horizontal and vertical track center line alignments that meet operational requirements.
  • Prepare points and crossings based on established operation concepts.
  • Establish standard working procedures to ensure work execution as per Statements of Design (SOD).
  • Analyze as-built components with tolerances, suggest redesigns to meet original tender designs, and propose solutions to avoid quality standards infringement during mass construction.
  • Plan and coordinate daily activities involved in rail track design and infrastructure development projects.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of various design methodologies in elevated sections.
  • Utilize rail design software for swept path analysis, regression analysis, and drainage.
  • Prepare and review design calculations for cant, cant deficiency, cant excess, speed, rate of change of cant, and transition.
  • Conduct quality checks and assurance for deliverables, review meetings, and issue resolutions.
  • Visit sites for interface and monitoring purposes to ensure construction activity and site conditions.
  • Collaborate with the entire interface team, including geotech, structure, signal, architecture, utility, traction, rolling stock, and multi-model integration teams.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum total experience of 10 years, with 5 years of relevant experience in track alignment for metro projects.
