Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and payroll-related compliance, as well as general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management for review and analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow, investments, and cash forecasting to ensure accurate projections and informed decision-making.
  • Manage budgeting processes and support cross-functional departmental budget planning initiatives.

Accounting & Compliance Expertise:

  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local tax regulations, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in all financial filings.
  • Coordinate timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.) and handle GST audits, assessments, and notices.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filling of income tax returns, statutory tax audits, and assessments, while responding promptly to notices and inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of transfer pricing compliance and documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate timely and accurate filing of forms and returns with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (e.g., MGT-7, AOC-4, DIR-3 KYC, etc.) and RBI (e.g., FLA return, FC-TRS, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including documentation and records for all FEMA-related transactions.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring thoroughness and effectiveness in assessing financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Strategic Financial Support:

  • Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, driving business growth and success.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management on financial planning, risk management, and performance evaluation.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Lead efforts to improve financial processes and systems, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • 10–15 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with a proven track record of leadership and expertise in financial analysis and planning.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior management, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
