Job Title: Solar Module Maintenance Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our solar module maintenance team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our solar module manufacturing equipment.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on solar module manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and EHS teams to plan maintenance shutdowns and improvements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and repair complex solar module manufacturing equipment, including stringers, laminators, glass loaders, auto bussing systems, IV/EL testers, conveyors, curing ovens, trimming machines, and other critical equipment.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and analysis to identify potential issues and develop proactive maintenance plans.
  3. Develop and maintain detailed records of equipment history, daily checklists, statutory compliance reports, and calibration logs.
  4. Manage spare inventory, procurement planning, vendor negotiations, and AMC/contractor coordination to ensure timely support and delivery.
  5. Evaluate vendor performance and service reliability to drive cost-effective solutions for equipment reliability.
  6. Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production schedules.
  7. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in solar module manufacturing process industries, with a focus on end-to-end maintenance operations.
  • Proven track record of improving equipment efficiency, reducing downtime, and increasing productivity.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of engineers and technicians.

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
