Job Title: Software System Design EngineerJob Summary:

As a Power Management Firmware Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the firmware addresses critical embedded market segment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to firmware development for power and performance management.
  • Collaborate with core firmware teams to address embedded requirements.
  • Coordinate issue debugging and drive them to closure.
  • Work with platform firmware organization to meet product requirements.
  • Review key firmware requirement/enhancement inputs pertaining to focused embedded markets.
  • Provide custom firmware design support for customers.
  • Design, develop, test, review features/releases pertaining to PMFW/DXIO firmware.
  • Assist customer support team in addressing firmware-related queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 9-15 years of experience in hands-on firmware development.
  • Strong C language programming skills.
  • Good understanding/experience with BIOS, power management, and PCIe.
  • Strong knowledge of ACPI, UEFI BIOS, and AGESA.
  • Experience with SoC power management, CPU/device power states, hot-plug, etc.
  • Firmware development release process understanding.
  • Prior experience working with firmware design development.
  • OS/Drivers/Software stack understanding is a plus.
