Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation and System Specialist to provide comprehensive production support for tax management systems and their integration with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms.

This role requires both taxation expertise and technical troubleshooting capabilities to ensure accurate tax calculations and seamless system operations across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot tax calculation rules, tax jurisdictions, and product taxability assignments within Vertex tax systems.
  • Support ERP integrations with Vertex, including Oracle Fusion and internal systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of tax rates, exemptions, and tax determinations.
  • Manage tax configuration, tax categories, and exemption certificates within Vertex.
  • Support tax reporting and compliance, including generating reports for tax filing and audit purposes.
  • Handle tax accruals and reconciliations to ensure General Ledger accuracy.
  • Analyze and prioritize related support tickets, providing timely solutions to users.
  • Document resolution steps and knowledge base articles.
  • Support system upgrades and patches, monitoring system performances and recommending improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of indirect taxation, including Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, and Withholding Tax.
  • 5+ years experience with Vertex tax systems and ERP integrations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
  • Experience troubleshooting API integrations and data feeds.
  • Familiarity with FBDI & ADFdi for data imports and updates.

Personal Qualities:

  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex tax calculation issues.
  • Ability to document and communicate technical solutions effectively.
