Role: Storage Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Storage Specialist. This role will involve providing expert-level support for storage systems, including SAN, NAS, ECS, and MF DASD + Tape.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage administration, ITIL processes, incident management, and service desk software such as ServiceNow or BMC Helix.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using established runbooks.

You will also be required to acknowledge and triage alerts, log and update incidents, execute backups/restores and routine jobs under change and supervision, and escalate to senior engineers with accurate diagnostics, logs, and metrics.

Maintaining compliance with industry regulations such as PCI DSS and SWIFT is essential for this role. You will participate in disaster recovery/business continuity planning drills to ensure platform readiness.

A strong documentation mindset, evidence-driven troubleshooting, and clear communication with stakeholders are vital skills for this position.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, ownership mentality, and readiness for 24/7 support and on-call rotations.
