Job Role: Quality Assurance Specialist

  • Conduct thorough inspections of fabricated components, raw materials and finished structures to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Verify that welding, bolting, cutting and assembly processes conform to Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) standards.
  • Carry out dimensional checks on built-up sections, secondary members and assemblies to guarantee accuracy.
  • Monitor surface preparation, blasting and painting/coating quality to meet industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain quality records and ensure material traceability.
  • Collaborate with production, erection and project teams to resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant ISO/IS/ASTM/AISC/MBMA standards and client requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the quality management system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality management process.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of fabrication and erection processes for PEB structures.
  • Excellent understanding of various welding processes (SMAW, SAW, MIG, etc.).
  • Sound comprehension of painting and coating standards.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Quality Control in the PEB/Steel Structure fabrication industry.
