Job Description:

  • HSBC is seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years' experience in IT software development, with expertise in data analysis and reporting, especially in production support. They should also have strong technical skills, including Unix, Control M, and Java.

The Consultant Specialist will be responsible for creating functional technical design solutions, diagnosing ETL and database-related issues, and performing tests and validating data flow. They will also work closely with IT and Finance Operations teams to ensure smooth daily activities.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a basic understanding of finance knowledge, such as accounting. They will be self-motivated, focused, and able to work efficiently to deadlines.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in IT software development
  • Expertise in data analysis and reporting, especially in production support
  • Strong technical skills, including Unix, Control M, and Java
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic understanding of finance knowledge, such as accounting
