Job Overview

As an Audit Associate, you will deliver high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with audit managers and partners to provide exceptional support and expertise.

  • Conduct comprehensive financial statement audits, operational process reviews, and compliance program assessments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of client financial data.
  • Review and audit UK-based enterprises' financial statements for adherence to legal accounting requirements (UK GAAP or IFRS).
  • Participate in statutory audit work preparation, including planning, execution, and closure phases to guarantee seamless delivery.
  • Perform end-to-end audits for entities across sectors, including small and medium companies, to provide tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities

As an Audit Associate, your key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulations, and firm policies.
  • Conducting substantive testing and analytical procedures to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
  • Documenting audit procedures performed, findings, and conclusions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identifying control deficiencies and providing recommendations for improving clients' internal control systems and financial processes.
Desired Competencies & Software Expertise

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proficiency in audit software (CaseWare, Wolters Kluwer CCH Audit, MyWorkPapers, Inflo, Thomson Reuters etc.).
  • Experience in using accounting applications (IRIS, Sage, Xero etc.).
  • Knowledge in MS Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks (IFRS, FRS, UK GAAP) and relevant regulations.
