Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Static Stress Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing stress analysis of aircraft structures using classical methods, including ISAMI and finite element models.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for extracting loads, stresses, material data, geometry details, and fastener specifications from part and assembly drawings.
  • You will apply appropriate static design values and create refined Finite Element Models (FEMs) using geometric data.
  • The selected candidate will conduct sizing of primary and secondary structures to meet static requirements.
  • You will extract fastener loads and perform detailed joint analysis to identify potential failure modes.
  • You will also calculate Reserve Factors (RF) for strength, buckling, shear panel failure, and other critical parameters.
  • This role requires collaboration with design, loads, and certification teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will prepare stress certification dossiers, including ACD4 and SSR reports.
  • They will identify and implement low RF mitigations using classical or numerical methods.
  • The Static Stress Engineer will ensure awareness of potential compliance risks and maintain integrity in all aspects of work.
