Offshore Structural Engineer Job Description

This role involves providing technical assurance for offshore projects, ensuring design and operations follow industry codes and company standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Define structural engineering scope of work for new construction, modifications to existing assets, life extension, and decommissioning.
  • Provide technical assurance for third-party engineering deliveries.
  • Perform independent verification for challenging analyses conducted by third-party engineers.
  • Manage relationships with third-party providers and contractors.
  • Assess the impact of significant weight and metocean changes to operating assets.
  • Delve fit-for-purpose solutions that consider operational constraints and asset as-is conditions.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • BSc or BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or a closely aligned subject area.
  • Chartered engineer, professional engineer, or near chartered/professional status in a closely aligned subject area.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
