Job Title: Algorithm Developer

Join a team of skilled algorithm and software engineers to design and develop deep learning, machine learning, image processing and related algorithms for industrial applications.

A key qualification of the candidate is the ability and passion to create innovative ideas, analyze complex systems, formulate mathematical solutions and implement machine learning workflows that are practical for use in production.

The ideal candidate will possess good oral and written communications skills, and be prepared for occasional domestic or international travel involved in supporting customer betas or visiting/training abroad.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and improve DL/ML training sets and associated workflow processes
  • Enhance DL/ML model performance through continuous evaluation and improvement
  • Compare and assess various DL/ML learning models
  • Implement algorithms to improve signal to noise ratio from various image conditions (i.e., extracting information from noisy images)
  • Collaborate with local and global teams in all phases of product lifecycles
  • Work with product engineering teams to define performance specifications and deliver to those specifications
  • Provide technical support during product demos and beta testing, working closely with domain experts from other functional teams on customer engagement

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in at least one of the following areas: computer vision, pattern recognition, data analysis
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Linux shell scripting, and object-oriented programming languages
  • Ability to learn/work with source code control software, version control and collaboration tools
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas simply
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively

Education Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; PhD preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in industry or academia
