About this role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to manage our community resources, staff, and partnerships to deliver high-quality skills training programs.

The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure the delivery of our programs is on track to meet targets.

  • Manage budgets, centres, and staff to deliver the full range of our skills training programs.
  • Lead a team delivering our skills training programs and manage all aspects of their performance.
  • Achieve targets at each stage of intervention including mobilisation, needs assessment, training delivery, and placement in work or education.
  • Support frontline staff to complete comprehensive needs assessments with program participants to identify their strengths, limitations, training needs, and overall targets for the program.
  • Develop personal development plans for each program participant outlining their training schedule and work or education targets.
  • Provide high-quality career counselling and impartial information, advice, and guidance that empowers program participants to make positive choices about potential careers.
  • Ensure each new starter receives a structured induction program.
  • Oversee community need assessments and mapping exercises of other stakeholders in the local area.
  • Work with colleagues to implement updates to the skills training program designed by the national team.
  • Ensure staff have the right tools and training to undertake their duties effectively.

  • Able to follow processes correctly and use specific tools and methods consistently.

  • Can-do attitude and willingness to use own initiative to solve problems.
  • Well-organised working style with excellent time management skills.

Pre-Requisites Qualification

Degree in any stream.

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in the skills development sector, with at least 2 years at a leadership level.
