High-Performance Computing Infrastructure Specialist

Our team is seeking an experienced High-Performance Computing Infrastructure Specialist to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining large-scale HPC clusters, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux operating systems, as well as experience with job schedulers such as Slurm or LSF. Additionally, they should be familiar with node provisioning tools like Werewolf and have excellent troubleshooting skills.

As a High-Performance Computing Infrastructure Specialist, you will work closely with other teams to integrate new technologies into the infrastructure, conduct regular audits to ensure compliance, and provide technical support to users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer HPC and VDI clusters to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage user accounts for HPC onboarding and offboarding, ensuring secure access and compliance.
  • Create and maintain AMI images in AWS accounts to streamline deployment and reduce costs.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on HPC clusters, ensuring stability and security.
  • Support HPC necessary components and native services by coordinating with respective providers, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Manage AWS Managed Active Directory and implement compliance controls to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate new technologies into the infrastructure, ensuring seamless adoption and minimal disruption.
