The role of an Inventory and Dispatch Manager involves overseeing warehouse operations across India, ensuring seamless distribution to numerous centers. This position requires expertise in inventory management, dispatch planning, vendor coordination, and process improvement for efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate stock keeping is essential for all categories - uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules.
  • Demand forecasting should be based on academic cycles and regional requirements.
  • Cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical vs. system inventory must be supervised.
  • Replenishment planning with procurement teams should be managed.
Dispatch & Logistics Operations
  • Pan-India dispatches to 150 centers must be planned and executed within defined timelines.
  • Packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation accuracy should be supervised.
  • Negotiation and coordination with logistics/courier partners for timely delivery are necessary.
  • Shipment movement monitoring, resolution of escalations, and zero service gaps are essential.
Stakeholder Management
  • Acting as a single point of contact (SPOC) for academic, non-academic, and regional teams regarding dispatch requirements.
  • Alignment with center heads on material needs and delivery schedules is crucial.
  • Escalation management related to shortages, delays, or damages is required.
Process Compliance & Reporting
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) implementation for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, and delivery adherence.
  • Management Information System (MIS) and dashboard preparation for management (stock movement, pending orders, aging inventory).
  • Process optimization and cost efficiency identification.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A strong understanding of inventory and warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS), knowledge of pan-India logistics and dispatch planning, analytical and problem-solving skills for supply chain challenges, team leadership and vendor management capabilities, advanced skills in MS Excel / Google Sheets / MIS reporting.

Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations; 4–6 years of relevant experience in inventory management and dispatch operations; prior experience in pan-India distribution (educational sector/retail/e-commerce preferred).
