Job Overview

Our company seeks an experienced R&D Manager to lead the development of innovative plastic injection molding operations.

This role involves overseeing the creation and testing of new plastic formulations, collaborating with suppliers, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

  • Lead a team in developing and refining plastic recipes and materials.
  • Collaborate with external partners to source and evaluate new raw materials.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Research and Development:
    1. Develop and refine plastic formulations and recipes.
    2. Conduct experiments to determine feasibility and performance.
  2. Cost Reduction:
    1. Identify opportunities to reduce material costs.
    2. Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product standards.
  3. Process Optimization:
    1. Optimize injection molding processes for productivity and efficiency.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    1. Ensure all new formulations meet quality standards.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    1. Maintain records of R&D activities.
  6. Team Leadership:
    1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in plastic injection molding Quality / Operation / R&D, with 3 years in leadership role.
  • Proven track record in developing cost-effective plastic formulations.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of injection molding processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing focused on sustainability and recycling.
