Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Professional to join our team as a Compliance Monitoring Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in evaluating the operating effectiveness of controls over Units' adherence to regulations and bank policies regarding core regulatory compliance topics.

MUFG Global Service Private Limited is a 100% subsidiary of MUFG Bank Ltd, with offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. As a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence, we provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/AML, Credit, Operations, etc., to MUFG Bank offices globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute monitoring reviews to evaluate the operating effectiveness of controls over local units' adherence to regulations and bank policies regarding core regulatory compliance topics.
  2. Conduct employee broker account reconciliations in connection with Personal Account Dealing.
  3. Conduct reconciliation of employee attestations & declarations in connection with Outside Business Interests.
  4. Deploy data analytics and/or user tools to achieve efficiencies in monitoring reviews.
  5. Prepare issue reports summarizing findings, root cause, and propose action plans to remediate issues.
  6. Validate Management Action Plans in connection with review findings.
  7. Drive issue discussions with key stakeholders.
  8. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across regions and globally on enhancement of Monitoring methodologies.
  9. Maintain, design, and refresh Regional Monitoring Scripts.
  10. Identify and escalate key and/or systemic risks/trends/red flags.
  11. Closely consult relevant subject-matter experts.
  12. Support general compliance activities and other duties, including special projects assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • 10-13 years of Banking experience, with relevant 3-5 years of experience in internal control testing.
  • Proficient knowledge of Process, Risk, and Controls concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and draw conclusions.
  • Proficiency in issue writing (i.e., articulate issues, root causes, and recommend solutions).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and dealing with executives at all levels.
  • Knowledge in banking products, APAC banking regulations compliance subjects is highly desirable.
  • Data analytics skillsets (e.g., Alteryx and/or other programming knowledge) is highly desirable.
  • Relevant compliance/accounting certifications is desirable.

Estimated Salary Range: ₹45 lakhs - ₹60 lakhs per annum (dependent on experience)
