Job Title: Market Risk Manager

This role involves strategic risk management, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. We seek an experienced professional to lead our market risk function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain policies/guidelines for monitoring Treasury/Investment/ALM/Liquidity risk.
  • Value Treasury portfolios, including Forex, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equity, and other assets.
  • Provide independent mid-office monitoring support for various risk types, including NOP, Fixed Income, FIG, Derivatives, and limits.
  • Monitor hedge effectiveness on a periodic basis.
  • Implement and calculate capital charge and counterparty risk charge.
  • Analyze Equities, Bonds, and Money Market funds using technical methods.
  • Conduct limit monitoring for treasury activities as prescribed by internal and regulatory policies.
  • Reconcile MTM with counterparty banks for derivatives deals and manage margin calls under CSA arrangements.
  • Prepare daily and periodical reports and Board notes for accurate and timely submission.
  • Enhance methodologies for counterpart credit risk measures like PFE and CVA.
  • Review new products related to Market risk and provide risk mitigation controls.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and simulate Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).
  • Perform robust monitoring and risk reporting for ALM product maturity.
  • Set limits for MAL/SAL using statistical modeling techniques.
  • Generate Interest Rate Risk on the bank's book or via Sensitivity Report analysis.
  • Understand Behavioral studies of ALM products.
  • Implement experience of ALM/Market Risk system from end-to-end.
  • Pricing and Hedging of banking products across asset classes (Rates, FX, Bonds).
  • Well-versed in Stress testing of Liquidity and Interest Rate risk.
  • Familiarity with ICAAP, RAROC, FTP methodologies, and RAS will be preferable.
  • Handle Audit queries and provide active assistance in audit.
Requirements:
  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in Middle East banks.
