Group Operations Team Lead

Purpose:

The ideal candidate will lead a team of Group Operations specialists to deliver exceptional customer service and process new business and policy servicing for group business.

Context:

The role holder will work within the Operations Department, focusing on Group New Business & Policy Servicing, to provide professional and courteous services to customers and intermediaries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Sales and Actuarial teams to close individual Group processes.
  • Ensure efficient issuance of policies and resolution of customer and intermediary queries.
  • Provide an effective and professional service to customers and intermediaries.
  • Implement and maintain agreed quality and quantity controls to aid proactive management and problem anticipation.
  • Supervise and train a team to meet business needs as the Company grows.
  • Coordinate with finance for reconciliation of policy account balances.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

An MBA/ACII or equivalent qualification with 8-10 years' experience in customer services or operations. Associate of Insurance Institute is an added advantage.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Good experience in operations within the financial services industry.
  • Experience within the Group Operation department of an insurance company is essential.
  • Experience in data processing to deliver operational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills.
