Financial Collection Manager

About the Job

The Financial Collection Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable process within an organization.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for the collection of outstanding debts, analyzing delinquent accounts to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and determine the appropriate actions to take, communicating with customers or clients to negotiate payment plans and resolve issues or disputes.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve billing and payment-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities, including customer interactions and payment arrangements.
  • Prepare reports on the overall status of collections.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CS)
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree may be preferred
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to accounts receivable and collections
