Senior Data Architect

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of large-scale data systems.

Job Description:

The Senior Data Architect plays a critical role in driving business growth through strategic data management. This includes selecting and integrating relevant Big Data tools and frameworks, developing and maintaining data pipelines, and advising on infrastructure changes to optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select and integrate appropriate Big Data tools and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines implementing ETL processes.
  • Monitor performance and advise necessary infrastructure changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling techniques.
  • Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles - Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS.
  • Strong data engineering skills on GCP cloud platforms Airflow, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, Data Flow, Data Proc, Big Query.
  • Experience with building stream-processing systems using solutions such as Storm or Spark- Streaming.
  • Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools like Pig, Hive, and Impala.
  • Experience with Spark, SQL, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks like Flume, Apache NiFi, or DBT.
  • Experience with various messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Good understanding of Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks.
