Healthcare Integration Expert

Ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HL7 standards, experience with communication protocols such as SFTP, MLLP, and web services (SOAP/REST), and hands-on expertise in at least one interface engine: Corepoint, Rhapsody, or Mirth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex healthcare interfaces using above-mentioned tools. They will also perform rigorous testing of interfaces to ensure data integrity, message routing accuracy, and system reliability.

In addition, the selected candidate will monitor interface performance, provide timely support for production issues, troubleshoot and resolve errors, message failures, and connectivity problems to minimize downtime.

Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all interfaces, including design specifications, data maps, and operational procedures.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have good understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR data exchange, and interoperability concepts.

Exposure to troubleshooting and debugging tools within interface engines is desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare integration/interface development.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 standards (v2.x, v3, FHIR, CCD).
  • Experience with various communication protocols such as SFTP, MLLP, and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Hands-on expertise in at least one interface engine: Corepoint, Rhapsody, or Mirth.

A good understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR data exchange, and interoperability concepts is essential for success in this role.
