Embedded Technical Leadership Role

The Embedded Technical Leadership role is a strategic position that requires technical expertise and leadership skills. The selected candidate will provide technical direction and guidance to meet the goals of the software verification organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to meet the goals of the software verification organization.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with functional teams, program management, engineering, certification, applications, and OEM customers.
  • Analyze competitive products and technologies to influence product/technology direction and innovation.
  • Drive simulation, test design, and execution automation strategies to reduce test development cost and cycle time.
  • Make technical decisions on test architecture, test methodologies, tradeoffs/decisions/constraints, and collaborate with the PI, OEMs, and certification authorities for necessary approvals.
  • Review and support SVP, PSAC planning documents, and SVCP/SVR/SAS cert documents.
  • Mentor and train senior engineers on various types of testing.
  • Interact with certification authorities/OEMs to gain approvals for test methodologies/approaches.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development/verification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Avionics/Controllers product lines for application/platform systems/software V&V or software design.
  • Hands-on experience in the development of test environments and testing tools like Vector Cast, Vector Cover, or other structural coverage tools.
  • Experience in the development/testing of embedded applications with hands-on experience in communication protocols.
