Cloud Cost Optimization Expert

At the forefront of cloud financial management, we are seeking a skilled Cloud Cost Optimization Expert to join our team. This pivotal role demands deep expertise in cloud cost optimization strategies and practices, as well as a proven track record of success in stakeholder alignment.

As a key member of our organization, you will shape our product roadmap, validate real-world FinOps use cases, and consult on optimization practices across cloud environments. Your hands-on experience in AWS cost management (multi-cloud experience is a strong plus) and relevant FinOps certifications will be invaluable in advising on cloud cost management strategies, providing insights into common FinOps use cases, and collaborating with our engineering and product teams to map real-world challenges into product features.

  • Advise on cloud cost management strategies across AWS (mandatory), and optionally GCP & Azure.
  • Provide insights into common FinOps use cases such as showback/chargeback, forecasting, budget guardrails, anomaly detection, rightsizing, and workload optimization.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to map real-world challenges into product features.
  • Share expertise in cost allocation, tagging strategies, and governance frameworks.
  • Highlight gaps in current market tools and suggest opportunities for differentiation.
  • Guide adoption of FinOps best practices in alignment with the FinOps Foundation principles.
Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement cloud cost optimization strategies across multiple cloud platforms.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cost-effective solutions.
* Analyze and optimize cloud spend to ensure alignment with business goals.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in cloud cost optimization and FinOps.
* Strong knowledge of AWS cost management and multi-cloud environments.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
