About the Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for an experienced data engineer or database administrator with a strong background in AWS Redshift. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in cluster architecture review, sizing, and right-sizing recommendations, as well as expertise in query performance tuning, schema optimization, and workload management.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or database administration, with deep hands-on expertise in AWS Redshift.
  • Proven experience in cluster architecture review, sizing, and right-sizing recommendations.
  • Strong background in query performance tuning, schema optimization, and workload management.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Redshift fundamentals: table design (Distribution and Sort Keys), WLM tuning, vacuum operations, concurrency scaling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in schema governance, version control, and structured change management.
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills—able to clearly articulate solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in client-facing roles within professional services, consulting, or enterprise environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of strategic outcomes—not just tactical tasks.
