Database Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database operations team, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and configure Oracle Exadata systems, including compute nodes, storage cells, and InfiniBand.
  • Develop and sustain multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms, ensuring operational readiness for both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Lead and support end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations using scripting languages like Shell, Python, and Ansible.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments.
  • Participate in capacity planning, cloud migration strategies, and architecture reviews.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems, RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Multitenant (CDB/PDB).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred.
  • Experience with AWS cloud databases is a plus; AWS certifications desired.
