Job Description:

As a Structural Designer I, you will be responsible for producing high-quality 3D models and 2D production drawings that meet industry standards.

You will produce detailed structural designs using software such as Revit and AutoCAD. Your deliverables must adhere to company guidelines and industry best practices.

Key tasks include managing the BIM workflow, maintaining structural files, and preparing project documents for client submissions.

  • Develop 3D models consistent with instruction and industry guidelines.
  • Annotate and detail 2D production drawings accurately.
  • Manage folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.
  • Maintain structural BIM / CAD files for use in design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).
  • Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with teams on project collaboration across multiple disciplines using tools like Navisworks.
  • Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.
  • Generate 3D views or renderings on an as-needed basis for marketing or project use.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 0-3 years of experience in preparing construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software.
  • Strong understanding of how a building comes together.
  • Ability to think in 3-D.
  • Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer.
  • Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment.
