Commercial Banking Portfolio Coordinator

We are seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Coordinator to join our team at Wells Fargo Bank.
Key Responsibilities:- Review credit information of loans for companies and industries, ensuring accurate and timely decision-making.
- Respond to customer inquiries, generate status reports for management or bankers, and contact available sources of information to provide excellent customer service.
- Perform moderately complex credit investigations on companies and industries, analyzing financial data and identifying potential risks.
- Receive direction from Commercial Banking Portfolio Management supervisor and escalate noncompliant issues to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure credit files are current, up-to-date, and accurately reflect the creditworthiness of borrowers.
- Interact with the immediate team and Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area to review processes for providing credits and identify areas for improvement.
- 2+ years of financial analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
We are looking for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in all or multiple combinations of the following:
- Spreads financial statements of private and public limited companies across various industries for credit applications, making relevant adjustments in cash flow and ratio calculations to reflect the true financial status of customers.
- End-to-end responsibility for requests from clients, including financial spreading in MRA tools, analyzing financial statements, identifying trends, and providing financial commentaries on cause and effect.
- Prepares projected financial statements as per relationship managers' requirements.
- Completes pro forma adjustments based on projected financial information as per requirements.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance, industry analysis, internal and external risk factors of borrowers, and superior business writing and communication skills.
- Assesses the repayment capacity of highly leveraged borrowers.
- Flexible in switching roles between Processors, DSO, QC, and other positions as per business requirements.
- Quality checks the work done by other team members as per business requirements.
- Facilitates communication to resolve problems and advance strategies.
- Leads or champions efforts to increase productivity and goal accomplishment.
- Acts as a coach or mentor to facilitate learning from experience.
- MBA Finance (mandatory) and Bachelor's Degree (Commerce), equivalent.
- Experience in assessing credit worthiness of borrowers based on qualitative and quantitative factors.
- Strong knowledge of preparation and analysis of projected and pro forma-based financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting / International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Sound knowledge of ratio analysis, cash flow, and trend analysis.
- Experience of financial spreading across all industries.
- Good knowledge of Moody's Risk Analytics (MRA) (added advantage).
- Ability to read and analyze financial statements.
- Ability to handle subjectivity in financial analysis and substantiate with reasons.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills.
