Transcription Expert Sought for High-Impact Projects

We are looking for a skilled transcription expert to work with us on a contract basis. As an English Audio-to-Text Annotation Specialist, you will be responsible for converting American English audio into accurate text transcripts with a focus on precision and context.

This role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge of audio editing and engineering, as well as linguistic expertise. You will be working with JSON files for structured annotations and using annotation tools to label and organize transcriptions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Auditory Skills: Proficiency in audio editing and audio engineering is essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with Live Sound and Audio Visual (AV) Systems.
  • Linguistic Expertise: A background in Linguistics or English Language is highly valued.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Listening to and transcribing audio into text with a focus on accuracy and context.
  2. Working with JSON files for structured annotations.
  3. Using annotation tools to label and organize transcriptions.
  4. Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and context-awareness in annotations.
  5. Collaborating with the QA team for feedback and improvement.
