Job Title:

A senior data science professional will lead and contribute to developing advanced machine learning models, predictive analytics, and statistical analyses to solve complex business challenges.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data science, programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries and frameworks. They will be able to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code and have robust problem-solving skills to develop data-driven solutions.

The role involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their business objectives, identify opportunities for analytics-driven solutions, and communicate findings clearly and promptly.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing sophisticated machine learning models, predictive analytics, and statistical analyses to solve complex business problems.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Using problem-solving skills to develop data-driven solutions, analyze complex datasets, and derive actionable insights that lead to impactful outcomes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders, to integrate analytics solutions into business processes.
  • Leveraging a profound understanding of mathematical and statistical principles to guide the development and validation of advanced data science models.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of total data science and model development experience
  • A passion for writing high-quality code (Python), with a focus on modularity, scalability, and end-to-end project execution
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of complex problems and their effective resolution
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regression and classification concepts, mathematical backend, and SQL
  • Familiarity with various machine learning techniques, including clustering, regression, ensemble learning, neural nets, time series, and optimization
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and take ownership of deliverables
  • Adept understanding of data science approaches, machine learning algorithms, and statistical methods
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Effective mentoring of a team with expertise in industry/domain/functional areas
