Job Opportunity

As a Technical Superintendent, you will oversee the technical management of vessels, conduct regular inspections, ensure efficient and safe vessel operations, and manage marine engineering tasks. The role also involves coordinating with the crew and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical management of vessels to maintain optimal performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure efficient and safe vessel operations by monitoring and controlling systems, equipment, and personnel.
  • Manage marine engineering tasks to maintain and improve vessel efficiency and safety.
  • Coordinate with the crew to ensure smooth operations, address concerns, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and industry standards to minimize risks and avoid penalties.

Requirements

  • Experience in Ship Management and Maritime operations, with a focus on technical management and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Expertise in Marine Engineering, including system design, installation, and operation.
  • Background in Sailing and hands-on knowledge of vessel operations, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications and training.
  • Experience with Tanker and Gas vessels is highly desirable.
  • Sailing experience of 1 year as Chief Engineer on Tankers is a significant asset.
