The role of a Casting Tooling Engineer is pivotal in driving the development and implementation of innovative tooling solutions. This position requires an individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering, production, or plastic engineering, coupled with expertise in molding and casting tool development.

Key responsibilities include designing and developing molds, die-casting tools for new part developments, as well as collaborating cross-functionally with R&D, Procurement, Quality Inspection, and Production teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving defects in running or new tools, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing cost reduction measures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

With a focus on safety and productivity improvements, this role also entails ensuring adherence to IMS (ISO and EHS) requirements, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accurate system data and records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in 2D or 3D design software, preferably NX software and related design tools.
  • Strong experience in molding, die-casting tool design, and development, along with expertise in troubleshooting and root cause defect analysis for new and running tools.
  • Excellent capacity planning and tool replacement planning abilities, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with various teams.
  • Familiarity with IMS (ISO and EHS) standards and conducting internal audits.
