Job Summary:
This role involves facilitating the interests and activities of our clients in process system and solution projects.
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering project results from proposal to site acceptance. Your duties will also include designing and implementing networks for Delta V and IT systems, installing and administering Windows systems, including remote access, and providing 1st line support to resolve Delta V and IT hardware and software issues.
Your tasks may involve analyzing customer requirements, participating in customer-facing workshops regarding OT designs & solutions, raising Technical Queries (TQs) and assisting with clarifications, developing System Architecture, Network/Cybersecurity designs, and related documentation, performing Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with customers, and reporting project issues/risks to Lead Engineer/Project Coordinator with appropriate mitigation plans.
You will work closely with overseas offices to understand scope & schedule, TQ clarification, review meetings, and progress reporting. You must take full ownership of allocated tasks and travel to various locations for assignments as required.
You will be part of a team that fosters a positive and collaborative environment to promote work and professional growth. This role also involves performing customer support activities including phone support, field service, remote diagnostics, and working with Emerson Field Support Engineers to resolve issues.
Quality Control & Assurance:
We implement IMS processes/documentation as required throughout the project. You must adhere to WA quality requirements and customer's regulatory guidelines. We promote a 'First time right' approach and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Other Duties:
You may perform other specific duties as assigned by the business, typically strategic in nature, and within your qualifications and experience.
Requirements:
You will need:
- 5 years of experience in networking, including but not limited to LED and unmanaged switches, firewalls, routers, wireless networks, server management, patch management, antivirus, backup and recovery management, virtualized infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with virtualization (especially Hyper-V and HCI).
- Proficiency with Windows Server (MSCA level or equivalent).
- Expertise in Windows 10 (MSCA level or equivalent).
- Networking knowledge (Cisco CCENT/CCNA Routing & Switching, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent).
- Cybersecurity knowledge (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent).
- Knowledge of OPC, Modbus, and other TCP/IP-based industrial protocols (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
An Engineering or Science graduate with CCNA and Cybersecurity certification in the field of networking would be ideal.
