Job Title: Blade Quality Assurance Specialist

Seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the quality control processes of wind turbine blades. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

About the Role:
  • Ensure all blades meet high quality standards for optimal performance, durability, and safety.
  • Oversee blade production to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and quality audits at various stages of manufacturing.
  • Manage mechanical and structural testing to verify blade strength, durability, and reliability.
Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:
  • Blade Quality Control & Assurance:
    • Verify blades meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct inspections and quality audits during manufacturing.
    • Manage and perform mechanical and structural testing.
  • Supplier & Manufacturing Oversight:
    • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure quality standards and material compliance.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party testing laboratories for certification and validation.
  • Testing & Evaluation:
    • Supervise and review blade testing under real-world conditions.
    • Ensure blades undergo necessary testing protocols before deployment.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain records of blade quality inspections, test results, and compliance reports.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on blade performance, quality trends, and improvements.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
    • Collaborate with R&D, design engineers, and production teams to improve blade design and manufacturing techniques.
    • Provide technical guidance and training on blade quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in quality control/assurance, focusing on wind turbine blades or composite structures.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for composite materials and blade production techniques.
  • Experience in performing and overseeing mechanical testing and analysis of materials.
