Key Data Architect Role

Our organization seeks a seasoned data architect to spearhead the development of scalable, domain-aligned target-state data models in support of application decoupling and cloud-native service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in data architecture and enterprise data modeling.
  • Proficiency in Oracle (PL/SQL, schema design, performance tuning).
  • Expertise in designing data models for microservices or distributed architectures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and document existing relational data models, focusing on Oracle-based systems.
  • Identify dependencies, shared schemas, and tightly coupled data entities across business domains.
  • Define target-state logical and physical data models aligned with microservices and bounded context principles.
  • Design data partitioning, ownership boundaries, and communication patterns between microservices.
  • Collaborate with application architects, integration teams, and domain owners to align data models with service boundaries.
  • Provide guidance on data migration, transformation, and reconciliation strategies during the separation process.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, normalization, and performance in target-state models.
