Job Title:

Physiotherapy Academic Leader

 

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures and workshops, developing curriculum materials, supervising students, and assessing their performance.

 

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

  • Lecture Delivery: Present physiotherapy knowledge and skills to students in classroom and practical settings.
  • Curriculum Development: Create and revise course materials, syllabi, and teaching methods to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Student Supervision: Guide students in conducting research projects, providing feedback on their work, and preparing them for presentations or publications.
  • Evaluation: Assess student performance through classwork, assignments, papers, and clinical/practical work.

 

Research and Professional Development:

  • Original Research: Engage in original research in physiotherapy, contributing to the field's knowledge base, and publishing findings in academic journals.
  • Staying Current: Keep abreast of the latest developments in physiotherapy through literature reviews, conferences, and interactions with colleagues.
  • Mentoring Students: Guide students on academic and career paths, providing support and advice on their professional development.

 

Departmental and Institutional Involvement:

  • Committee Participation: Contribute to departmental decision-making and initiatives.
  • Service Activities: Contribute to the academic community through committee work, outreach programs, and other service activities.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage budgets, coordinate clinical placements, and handle other administrative tasks related to the physiotherapy program.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD in Physiotherapy or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
