Dean for Engineering Department

Leading an engineering department requires a strong academic leader with vision, innovation and research expertise. A well-rounded individual with a deep understanding of emerging technologies is essential to drive excellence, integration and development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide academic vision and leadership for engineering programs with focus on Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Machine Learning and allied domains.
  • Mentor faculty to adopt modern pedagogy, digital teaching tools and outcome-based education practices.
  • Promote research culture, publications in reputed journals, patents and funded projects within the institution.
Leadership & Administration
  • Develop strategic plans for the School of Engineering ensuring academic and operational excellence.
  • Supervise day-to-day academic, administrative and disciplinary functions.
  • Manage faculty recruitment, training, performance evaluation and career progression.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
Collaborations & Development
  • Establish collaborations with leading industries, research bodies and academic institutions for joint projects, internships, FDPs and consultancy.
  • Spearhead establishment of state-of-the-art labs and centers of excellence.
  • Encourage entrepreneurship, innovation and incubation through start-up cells and hackathons.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Educational Qualification: PhD with M.Tech and B.tech with Computer Science stream preferred from a reputed institution.
  • Strong academic and research credentials with proven track record of publications, patents and funded projects.
  • Minimum 15 years of academic/industry experience including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven record of administrative leadership, curriculum development, faculty management and research guidance.
  • Visionary leadership with deep understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication, people management and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver results in a competitive environment.
