Key Responsibilities

We seek an experienced data engineer to design and implement complex dimensional data models for analytics services.

As a Senior Data Engineer- Data Modeler, you will be responsible for performing data extraction, analysis, cleansing, mapping, and profiling exercises using Informatica Analyst and other profiling tools.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing large-scale data architectures for analytics platforms
  • Developing and maintaining effective testing methodologies and user acceptance testing protocols
  • Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders, data owners, business analysts, architects to design and develop next-generation data platforms
  • Acting as principal designer and reviewer for new data models, making strategic data architectural decisions, and working with the database engineering team to create optimal physical data models

Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with hybrid data environments that leverage both distributed and relational database technologies to support analytics services (Oracle, IMB DB2, GCP).

Required skills include solid understanding of data warehousing principles, architecture, and its implementation in complex environments, good experience in OLTP and OLAP systems, excellent data analysis skills, good understanding of one or more ETL tools and data ingestion frameworks, and exposure to data modeling tools such as ERwin, Power Designer, Business Glossary, ER/Studio, Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw.

Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining technical documentation, training junior engineers, and participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Preferred qualifications include certification in data science, machine learning, or related field, and experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
