Commodity Trader Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commodity Trader to join our team. As a Commodity Trader, you will be responsible for executing buy and sell orders for commodities based on market conditions and client instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Buy and sell commodities in accordance with market conditions and client instructions.
  • Monitor market trends, news, and events to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and other market participants.
  • Analyze market data and perform technical analysis to inform trading decisions.
  • Manage inventory and trading positions to optimize profitability and minimize risk exposure.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements governing commodity trading activities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop trading strategies and contribute to the overall success of the trading desk.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to management and clients regarding trading activities and performance.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Commodity Trader or in a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of commodity markets, including trading strategies, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex market data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
