Biology Researcher Opportunity

Are you passionate about creating innovative biology problems to test the reasoning capabilities of large language models? We're seeking a PhD-level researcher in Biology to join our team and contribute to advancing the field of AI.

Turings research involves evaluating the logic behind complex biological functions, such as immune signaling pathways. You'll analyze model responses, identify gaps in logic or understanding, and collaborate with experts worldwide to refine AI models.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written communication and feedback abilities
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating with remote teams

This is a contractor assignment/freelancer position with a minimum 20 hours per week commitment. You'll work on high-impact AI research projects, collaborate with experts worldwide, and have the possibility of contract extension based on performance.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for creating biology problems, reviewing AI model responses, and sharing insights on how well they understand complex reasoning and logical steps. Your tasks will include:

  • Evaluating the logic behind a researcher's claims about immune signaling
  • Reviewing a student's proposed strategy to study plant stress genes

Eligibility

We're looking for candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing a PhD in a relevant field. Strong research and analytical skills, excellent written communication, and the ability to provide clear constructive feedback are essential for success in this role.
