We collaborate with scientists, universities, and organizations worldwide to convert complex scientific ideas into engaging content and visuals.

This role involves combining scientific expertise with creative design skills to produce accurate and visually engaging materials.

The position includes developing graphical abstracts, reading scientific manuscripts, creating storyboards, generating rough sketches, and reviewing peers' outputs.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all visuals are both scientifically accurate and visually impactful, aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Visually Engaging Graphical Abstracts: Represent the essence of a scientific study in a visually appealing way.
  • Extract Key Visual Elements: Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts.
  • Develop Storyboards: Outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with scientific content and client objectives.
  • Create Initial Visual Concepts: Generate rough sketches illustrating initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers, writers, and clients.
  • Ensure Delivery-Ready Outputs: Review peers' outputs to ensure they meet client expectations and are delivery-ready.

Qualifications

  • A graduate or PhD degree in STEM fields (Biology/Biotechnology/Medicine/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering).
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing and communicating science into visually engaging output.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Experience in 3D designs, medical illustrations, journal cover designs, and graphical abstract.
  • An understanding of the scientific publishing & science communication landscape.
