Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist
The Financial Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This position is responsible for checking figures, postings, and documents for accuracy, as well as organizing, securing, and maintaining all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures.
This individual will record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information, classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using journals, ledgers, and computers. Additionally, they will prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
The ideal candidate will complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified, respond to and resolve questions, issues, or disputes from various sources, process customer tax exemptions following government regulations, review, reconcile, and process credit card vouchers and advance deposits.
This role also involves monitoring and auditing gift certificate and incentive award redemption activity, following all company policies and procedures, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, protecting company assets, and protecting the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
The successful candidate will anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service, speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, answer telephones using appropriate etiquette, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
To be eligible for this position, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, at least 1 year of related work experience, and no supervisory experience. License or certification is not required.
