The Opportunity
This role will lead new wireless semiconductor product development from project concept through definition, IC design, validation, customer sampling, characterization, qualifications, initial product launch, and closing the project when released to full production.
Program management engages at concept and definition phases to determine effort, resource needs, and schedule, ensuring the execution plan supports business requirements and timing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for new products from concept to production and market release.
- Collaborate with leaders and individual contributors across functional teams, including IC Design, HW design, Test Managers, SW development, Applications, Validation, Operations, and Product Management.
- Organize and facilitate cross-functional activities, fostering collaboration and ongoing alignment to ensure requirements are met on schedule and within resource constraints.
- Create bottom-up program/project plans, including WBS, scheduling, resource forecasts, team enablement, and executing using project management best practices and tools.
- Monitor schedule and criteria performance using appropriate tools and techniques to measure progress and health.
- Proactively recognize risks and deviations from plan, create options, and drive approved actions and workarounds to mitigate and minimize impact.
- Ensure requests introduced to the program that affect scope are managed appropriately through established processes.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- 7-9 years of experience in program management or related roles, with a proven track record of leading a team and delivering complex initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to foster relationships, build trust, and inspire and motivate teams.
- Working knowledge of wireless SoC IC design, HW/SW development tools, modules, and their interactions/enabling of the platform system solution.
- Ability to maintain a healthy pressure and challenge teams where there might be opportunity or need to improve or change an outcome.
