Database Architect

As a seasoned Database Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable database configurations to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage cutting-edge Sybase ASE, RS, and IQ configurations for optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline patch deployments, installations, and routine tasks.
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, indexing, query performance, and infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of sensitive data with industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with application developers and system administrators to enhance database operations and interactions.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and resiliency strategies, cloud-based Sybase solutions, and technology evolution initiatives.
  • Lead database migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot data corruption, long-running queries, blockings, and deadlocks using advanced tools.
  • Manage account parameters, security, and periodical backups for uninterrupted services.
  • Document database structures and SOPs, maintaining ITIL-based incident/crisis management systems.
  • Mentor team members and oversee end-to-end project management, leveraging lean methodology for BAU optimization.
