Role Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the company's litigation and dispute resolution processes to ensure effective management of legal cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage litigation including matters related to ROW compensation, land acquisition, arbitration, constitutional law, claims, contractual disputes, and criminal cases.
  • Represent or assist in matters before writ courts, district courts, DRT, claim tribunal, consumer courts.
  • Draft, vet, and finalize SLP, writ petitions, civil suits, criminal complaints, claim petitions, counter affidavits, replies, and replications.
  • Brief senior and external legal counsels on matters and coordinate daily updates on pending cases.
  • Prepare and monitor Legal MIS for controlling litigation/legal cases.
  • Strategize and manage litigation based on company objectives and respond to contingencies.
  • Deliver advice on legal positions with supporting court decisions and latest law updates.
  • Ensure prompt, cost-effective disposal of legal issues.
  • Manage critical/high-stake litigation and draft/negotiate contracts as per business needs.
  • Advise on statutory and legal compliance, risk analysis, and contract drafting.
