Job Title:

Sr Cloud Database Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Database Architect to manage and administer SQL Server databases, both on-premises and in the Azure cloud.

  • Database Administration: Manage and administer SQL Server databases (on-premises and Azure SQL) to ensure high availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Cloud Strategy: Plan, implement, and oversee Azure SQL Subscription services ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Database Performance: Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring to improve database efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery: Configure and maintain disaster recovery, backups, and high availability solutions (Always On, Geo-Replication, etc.) to minimize data loss.

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to the above responsibilities, the ideal candidate will also plan and execute database migrations from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL, work with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD and database lifecycle management, and develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and best practices.
