We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Director Intern to join our team in the production of a high-impact documentary film on India's space science and technology advancements.

Job Overview

This internship offers hands-on experience in working on a national-level film project, collaborating with experienced professionals, and gaining insight into the unique intersection of cinema, public policy, and science communication.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Director in day-to-day project activities during pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
  • Contribute to developing English-language scripts, treatments, and narrative structures for the documentary film.
  • Conduct research on Space initiatives, history, and related topics to enhance the script's authenticity and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the production team for scheduling, shot lists, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Translate finalized English scripts into Hindi, maintaining clarity, cultural relevance, and linguistic precision.
  • Provide creative input for visuals, graphics, and storyboarding to elevate the overall visual storytelling approach.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Film school student or recent graduate with a strong interest in scientific films and a passion for storytelling.
  • Excellent command of English writing, including scriptwriting, narrative development, and research synthesis.
  • Familiarity with documentary filmmaking, government/educational films, and/or other relevant experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and adapt to dynamic production needs while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with a curious and flexible mindset.
