Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement academic programs in film production, directing, screenwriting, and related disciplines.

  • Ensure curriculum aligns with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Lead program reviews, assessments, and accreditations to ensure quality and excellence.

Faculty and Staff Management:

  • Mentor, evaluate, and support faculty and staff in their professional growth and development.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and respect among faculty and staff.

Student Development:

  • Oversee student recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts to foster a diverse and talented student body.
  • Support student success through mentorship, career counseling, and professional development opportunities.

Industry and Community Engagement:

  • Build partnerships with industry leaders, production houses, and film organizations to enhance the department's reputation and impact.
  • Organize guest lectures, workshops, and networking events to provide students with valuable industry connections and insights.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage departmental resources effectively to optimize budget allocation and minimize waste.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of film studio operations, equipment procurement, and technology infrastructure.

Strategic Planning and Vision:

  • Develop long-term goals and strategies for departmental growth, innovation, and excellence.
  • Stay updated on global cinema trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in higher education to inform decision-making and drive progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).

Proven experience in academic administration, leadership, or operations.

Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with academic management software.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and a customer-centric approach.
